Stephen Bowers: Larks Tongues in Aspic (part IV)

Drawing on history, natural science, various artistic traditions and pop culture, Bowers creates poetic collages within his exquisitely detailed ceramics.

He uses the rich tradition of ceramic history – patterns, illustrations and images – to speak to the present in a contemporary, witty and Australian way. This exhibition features beautifully decorated charges and vases as well as more quirky pieces such as a ‘Willow Kangaroo’ surfboard.
