Through an implied narrative and based on his ongoing theme of fictional character, Merry-Andrew the Limner, Hall creates a series of ink drawings responding to an invitation to participate in the 2011 Kedumba Drawing Award.
Referencing personal events, literature, film, history, art, music and political musings, the exhibition is made up of work derived from a diverse range of feelings, ideas and human experiences. Hall uses a variety of mediums, such as ceramics, pastel and charcoal by way of reflecting the tenor of the experience being rendered in the pictures.
