Stuart Elliott: Altered States

Altered States surveys the work of artist Stuart Elliott, celebrating a career spanning almost half a century. Comprehensive in its scope, this exhibition comprises four distinct but compellingly connected parts that showcase over forty of Elliott’s paintings and sculptures, including new pieces alongside significant works on loan.

Elliott’s works delve into our relationships with the environment, technology, and other humans through his fascination with “fakeological” readings of symbols, altars, archaeological artefacts and rituals. Images include blazing comets, impractically large board games, chaotic cityscapes, and lemming-like columns of vehicles.
