‘Subverted Expectation’ is a group exhibition bringing the work of four artists and friends together for the first time with a showcase of collage, sculpture, photography and a botanical installation. Disrupting existing narratives of identity, beauty and traditional art forms artists Tanja Bruckner, Steve Tierney, Freya Jobbins and Selena Murray ‘appropriate, decontextualize and subvert existing objects, images and techniques, to explore themes of identity, aesthetics of representation and environment.’ Presented as part of the CEMENTA Festival 2021 program – WAYOUT in Kandos, NSW.
