Sunshine Coast Art Prize 2013

The Sunshine Coast Art Prize (SCAP) is among the nation’s most significant regional art prizes presented by Sunshine Coast Council. With a $46,000 prize pool across 2D, 3D and T3 categories, SCAP is regional Queensland’s largest acquisitive National Art Prize. SCAP 2D is a national contemporary 2D acquisitive art prize, SCAP 3D is a national contemporary 3D art prize and SCAP T3 is a showcase of the Sunshine Coast’s emerging tertiary artists.

This year, SCAP features the Hew/Noonan family, represented across each of the Prize categories. The family cover decades of artistic thought and the physical manifestation of a combined aesthetic sensibility. This superb cache of talent is making its presence known by being the first time, in the history of the Prize that family members have been represented across all categories.
