Taking the Myth

Inviting new perspectives on history and heritage, The Lost Ones gallery brings a group of artists together to explore the idea of myth-making.

In an effort to expose the flaws in stories that are told in mainstream Australian culture, artists Tony Albert, Aunty Marlene Gilson, Sue Kneebone, Pitcha Makin Fellas, Rodney Pople, Joan Ross and Jacqui Stockdale interpret the odious truths of political storytelling that create misleading historical realities with reference to the displacement and dispossession of Indigenous peoples.
