The rockpool as a small, shifting world shaped by tide and time, where abstract vessels capture currents, surfaces, and fragments of life is explored in this collaborative exhibition by ceramicist Travis Bell and painter Elizabeth Braid.
Inspired by the Tasmanian coastline, curved ceramic forms create spaces to peer into, while painted fluid surfaces reflect ever-changing intertidal life. Both familiar and constantly transforming, the rock pool is shown here as a kind of microcosm, echoing larger cycles, currents, and systems beyond itself.
