2016 Rick Amor Drawing Prize

The ‘Rick Amor Drawing Prize’ exhibition presents the finalists in the award for small works on paper. The prize is open to all Australian artists, with the winning entry acquired for the Art Gallery of Ballarat’s permanent collection.

Rick Amor, artist and prize sponsor says, “Drawing on paper is the most direct and intimate expression of an artist’s sensibility. It reveals the temperament, touch and vision of the maker in a way that is rarely matched by any other form of visual art, and it is the best way I know for an artist to record sights and ideas”.

From 455 entries there are 65 finalists in the exhibition, with the winner to be announced at the opening on Friday 8 July.
