ELK: Luke Cornish

Sydney-based stencil artist Luke Cornish (aka ELK) is known for meticulously constructed works – using up to 1,000 stencils and hundreds of layers of aerosol paint.

A self-described artist/activist who has worked in the medium for more than two decades, this survey of significant works from his career traces its development from the streets of his hometown of Canberra to galleries across Australia and internationally. Works on show include The Pity of War, 2024 – winner of the 2024 Gallipoli Art Prize.
