Caroline Rothwell: Horizon

Caroline Rothwell explores the intersection of art and science through sculpture, collaged historical prints, and digital animations made using carbon emissions, which ask us to consider the implications of how we interact with the natural environment.

‘Horizon’ centres around a geometric topographical installation integrated with reconfigured works and found objects that the artist has collected over many years. The work is inspired by Rothwell’s interest in looking at the infrastructure of how we exist and the interconnectedness of botanical with human and industrial systems.
