It’s all about Adrienne Doig. This exhibition surveys the last three decades of the artist’s practice, which, through the lens of self-portraiture, fuses historical references and humour to respond to the everyday and reflect on now. By manipulating, reworking and combining imagery from multiple sources, with universal social, environmental and political narrative, Doig records her own experiences within a larger context. Through embroidery, applique, sculpture and video, Doig playfully explores intimate aspects of her life, from having a cup of tea to performing mundane housework.
