‘Imprint’ is metal-smith Bethamy Linton’s first solo jewellery exhibition and is a collection of bracelets and neckpieces that take inspiration from history, science, and mysticism.
Linton’s interests lie in human responses to the natural world, particularly during the age of enlightenment. The pieces are intricately detailed, hand cut titanium and embossed sterling silver jewellery that embodies ideas of perception and representation. Her work is influenced by antique lace work, natural science illustrations, as well as a personal narrative of her background as a fourth generation Western Australian silversmith.
