Slightly larger than your hand-span ‘border lines’ is a tidy hermetic title that blends several stories and poems with alternating pages of drawing. The design of the limited edition artist book complements this emphasis on alchemy with copper foil, hand stitching and a chunky paper cover with only 200 copies produced. Ian North’s nebulous forms, much like the evocative texts by Lloyd Jones, conjure a mood attached to place and landscape, but are open to our interpretation and leave the door ajar for further imaginings.
