Can’t Touch This

Re-orienting the language of textiles is a subversive act in itself. In ‘Can’t Touch This’ ten Australian contemporary artists go a step further by ushering in a range of social and political concerns to the traditional medium such as land rights, constructs of gender identity and Internet dating etiquette. Miriam Kelly has curated works from Carla Adams, Troy-Anthony Baylis, Christine Dean, Chantal Fraser, Kate Just, Mumu Mike Williams, Claudia Nicholson, Raquel Ormella, Marlene Rubuntja and Paul Yore.
