Coburn to Whiteley: Master prints from the Fred Genis Collection

This exhibition of diverse and impressive printer’s proof lithographs is from the collection of master lithographer Fred Genis, who worked from 1965 to 1972 as a master printer of lithography at renowned print studios in the USA, where he printed works by many leading American Abstract and Pop artists including Jasper Johns, Josef Albers, Larry Rivers, Helen Frankenthaler, James Rosenquist, John Cage and William de Kooning. Genis later worked in Europe and then in 1979 set up a press at Dural, north of Sydney. He worked for a 15-year period with many renowned Australian artists, from John Coburn to Brett Whiteley.
