Dean Bowen: The Home of Kindness – paintings and sculptures

A childhood drawing depicting the simplicity of a home; an archetypal box-shaped frontage with plumes of smoke and scribbled sky is Dean Bowen’s ‘treasure from the past’ and catalyst for his latest series of work comprised of oil painting and bronze sculpture.

‘Like an echo across time and now through the eyes of an adult I revisit the theme of the home, along with other favourite themes and ideas inspired by everyday life and memories of the Australian countryside, city life, travel and literature,’ says Bowen.
