Shared Skin

Presented as part of Adelaide Festival and curated by Rayleen Forester, Shared Skin combines existing works with new commissions by internationally recognised contemporary artists from First Nations and culturally diverse backgrounds.

Addressing how family is defined through class, gender, sexuality and the collision of global community experiences, cultures and identities, the exhibition gives thought to familial relationships, interpersonal constellations and their connection to land, society and histories. By investigating how we define relationships, the exhibition’s artists sketch a complex picture of what a family can be.

Artists: Hana Pera Aoake, Atong Atem, Jacob Boehme, KTB + the Narungga Family Choir, Juanella Donovan, Jared Flitcroft, Jumana Manna, Tuan Andrew Nguyen, Bhenji Ra, Steven Rhall, Marikit Santiago, and Jennifer Tee.
