Alun Rhys Jones: Arena

LGBTQIA+ artist Alun Rhys Jones uses large-scale drawings and paintings to explore the impact of stereotypes and media attention on the LGBTQIA+ community.

Designed to spark conversation about the importance of acceptance, visibility and mental health within the LGBTQIA+ community, the exhibition presents artworks in unconventional ways – echoing how the queer community often coexists within heteronormative society. Some pieces are hung, while others are installed in unique ways, inviting different perspectives and shedding light on issues LGBTQIA+ people face. This exhibition is part of the 2025 Midsumma Festival.
