The National Photography Prize showcases the work of leading and emerging artists across Australia pushing the boundaries of photographic practice, expanding and developing existing languages and techniques.
Intersecting photographic, drawing and sculptural practices through large-scale installations, collages and assemblages, and archival and chemical processes to more intimate and personal moments, this year’s finalist works touch on themes such as the environment and its degradation, cultural and familial histories and personal identities, connection to time and place, as well as distortion and spatial understandings, perspectives and ways of seeing.
