This exhibition showcases the delicate detailed dot work of contemporary Aboriginal paintings from Central Australia. Now showing in ‘La Galerie’ within the Sofitel Brisbane Central, each artwork highlights the artist’s intimate knowledge of traditional stories relating to country and culture.
The centerpiece is the stunning black and white 200 x 200cm artwork Tali from Telstra award winning artist Lily Kelly Napangardi. Other works of note include those from the 2014 Redland Prize winning artist Margaret Loy Pula. Artists on display include Kay Rubuntja Naparrula, Eva Napaltjarri Nelson, Margaret Loy Pula, Cowboy Loy Pwerle, Lily Kelly Napangardi, Maureen Hudson Nampitjinpa and Anna Price Petyarre.
