Fiona Abicare: Rose Moon

Fiona Abicare’s works absorb and reflect on cultural histories and personal memories drawn from modernism and its interaction with art, design, architecture, film and fashion. Abicare presents a series of large-scale site-specific sculptures for ‘Rose Moon’, which are shaped by the origins of the Shabby Chic style of interior design in relation to art history and feminine aesthetics, while considering the ‘female home decorator’ as sculptor, painter and craft practitioner.
