‘Head On Photo Festival’ brings the art of photography to centre stage in Sydney from 5 to 20 May. Over 100 exhibitions showcasing more than 700 photographers from 22 countries are centred around Paddington’s Festival Hub, in galleries and creative spaces across the city and at The Royal Botanic Garden, for the first time.
Finalists and winners of recent national and international photo competitions are a highlight of the event, from the ‘Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize’ to the ‘Tokyo International Photography Competition’, and Sony ‘Alpha Awards’, to the annual ‘Wildlife Photographer of the Year’ and ‘Head On Photo Awards’.
‘Head On’ presents the audience with a compelling visual storyboard of deeply personal narratives, culture and diverse perspectives on current world issues.
