‘Melbourne Design Week’ will unfold across NGV International, NGV Australia and other Melbourne and Victorian venues from 12 to 22 March. With 300 events on the calendar, the 2020 festival showcases leading local, national and international designers, who are at the forefront of the thriving global design industry. Themes reflect on Healthy Cities, Design Cultures, Waterfront, Waste, and Design Evolution, revealing the new ideas and innovations taking sustainable design into the future.
Running in parallel ‘Melbourne Art Book Fair’ brings publishers, artists, designers and writers together across lectures, workshops, launches and performances from 13 to 15 March in NGV’s Great Hall, and will also see the announcement of The Cornish Family Prize for Art and Design Publishing.
