With a focus on portraits and figurative art, Victoria-based Jennifer Cromarty is interested in the human form – her work reflecting the styles of classicism and romanticism.
A continuation of the artist’s first solo collection (Modern Renaissance, 2025), in Domestic Life, intimate everyday life rituals are revered. Ordinary moments – the tender weight of holding things, a woman hanging laundry, a figure reclining with a book – are elevated into something enduring as, through restrained palettes, Cromarty invites contemplation on the emotional and psychological weight of life at home.
