‘AIR’ is Lara Scolari’s debut Sydney solo exhibition, created during her recent 4-month residency in vibrant Ashfield.
The exhibition comprises a series of large-scale mixed-media works on 640gsm Fabriano Paper, investigating Scolari’s previous thematic scheme whilst exploring and manipulating new materials and developed experimental techniques.
Intrigued by the complexity, hidden undercurrents and agendas involved in relationships, Scolari has expanded and developed this concept, which informs an intimate visual language of organic tone, shape and line. These elements generate a personal response of emotions that are expressed within her work.
