Leo Cussen: Golden Years

“Leo was a quintessential artist: he was direct, honest and unapologetic,” says Sim Luttin, curator of ‘Golden Years’, a retrospective of works from 1996-2015 which offers insight into the creative life and personality of Leo Cussen. For over 20 years his expressive pastel and pencil pieces illustrated a fascination with, and an ode to, tropes of the entertainment industry as well as old Hollywood identities. This special show includes a series of portraits of Cussen made by his fellow studio artists.
