Nadine Bastow: What Lies Beneath

What Lies Beneath presents Western Australian artist Nadine Bastow’s richly layered renderings of a landscape steeped in personal and cultural history.

This exhibition pays homage to the Moore River region (Yued Noongar country), also known as Gabbadah (“mouthful of water”), where Bastow spent much time as a young girl and in the years since. What lies beneath are the memories, the long and the short history of its inhabitants and a sense of place, leaving an indelible print on all who come, swim, sit, and take time to notice.
