‘Obsessed: Compelled to make’ showcases textiles, ceramics, furniture, metalwork, jewellery, conceptual art, glass blowing and sculptural weaving, inspired by the preoccupations that drive one’s artistic obsession within the creative process. The exhibition looks beyond the finished artwork to tell the hidden stories of artmaking and uncovers the artist’s inspirations, the complexities of materials used, daily studio experiences and all the associated angst, failures, breakthroughs and milestones, that feed their productivity and deliver exceptional outcomes.
