This national touring exhibition traces the development of contemporary photographic practice over the last 50 years. Drawing on works from both the MCA Collection and the JW Power Collection, the exhibition presents Australian photographers alongside international and illustrates the story of the recent history of photography from the 1960s to present day.
‘Remain in Light’ crosses a range of media including black and white photography, artist books, photolithography and digital photography and brings together around 70 works from artists including Barbara Kruger, Mary Ellen Mark, Tracey Moffatt, Trent Parke, Patricia Piccinini, Mike Parr, Polixeni Papapetrou, Ed Ruscha and many more. The exhibition is organised and toured by the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney.
