The largest exhibition of works to date, drawn from three decades of artistic practice, by one of Australia’s most important artists, Richard Bell, is on view in ‘You can go now’. Working between two powerful stages of protest, Bell is both artist and activist, digging at the very core of serious issues. With humour and satire, Bell addresses representation and identity politics of Indigenous peoples, nationalism and neo-Liberalism, and the perceptions of Aboriginal art within a post-colonial history and framework.
