The intricate ties between place, space, feelings, and emotions are explored by Shelley Cowper, Haya Hagit Cohen, and Elmari Steyn through traditional printmaking techniques and mixed media works.
Cowper navigates the ephemeral worlds of water, sky and memory through the “porthole/portal” of her time spent sailing. For Cohen, the feeling of being in between is always tied to her way of telling a story. And Steyn’s spirit of place recalls the solitary, still and tranquil moments; small fragments of time set aside to remember the strongest of memories.
