Women of Utopia

‘Women of Utopia’ is a group exhibition by some of Australia’s most recognised female Aboriginal artists from the Utopia region in Central Australia, the traditional land of the Alyawarre and Anmatyerre people. A collection of paintings in bold style and colours – earthy browns, rich pinks, oranges, reds and blues – tell women’s stories of Country, food, traditional practices, law and their complex social systems. Artists include Emily Kame Kngwarreye, Gloria Petyarre, Minnie Pwerle, Kathleen Petyarre, Margaret Loy Pula and Polly Ngale.
