2022 National Works on Paper

National Works on Paper presents a survey of contemporary artmaking, celebrating the medium of paper in all its different forms. Traditional approaches to working with paper are explored alongside works that incorporate new technologies, pushing the boundaries of the medium and expanding our appreciation of what working with and on paper can be. This year features the works of seventy-eight finalists, from discrete, intimate encounters to ambitious, architecturally-scaled installations and scenographies that reflect upon Country and the seasons, cultural and social histories, sensory evocations and material truths.
