The initial inspiration for these mixed media works was finding an array of discarded historical pieces across Western Victoria. A home-made tin bath-tub exudes an embedded history through its rough physical and functional nature. Likewise, redundant farm implements and hand-bored posts are poignant reminders of our constant endeavor to dominate and subdue the land.
The significance of these objects is altered and manipulated by being placed into new contexts and formats that trigger evocative revelations about the subtleties of change and the degradation of natural resources in general.
