Melbourne-based artist Agneta Ekholm’s abstract paintings explore forces of energy and immortality with soft flowing organic shapes encompassing the perpetual motion of life. In her artmaking, mysterious forms and colours emerge. These are suggestive of the ice landscapes of her Finnish childhood along with light play, water flow, and movement.
“Creating a new painting is like going into a new world that is both known and unknown,” says the artist. “My paintings change and morph with time and experience, in just the way we, as people, are ever-evolving beings.”
