Hannah Quinlivan
Flinders Lane Gallery
Canberra-based artist Hannah Quinlivan’s complex spatial drawings have been widely exhibited in Australia and internationally. This monograph presents a detailed archive of the artist’s exhibitions and performance works from 2011-2018. Compiled over several chapters, with each one related to an exhibition from this period are essays by several writers accompanied by a spread of images, which give time to absorb the stories being told.
Quinlivan’s compositions dance and weave about on paper, on canvas and in her large-scale installations constructed from various materials including inks, wire, salt and PVC. Intricate looped patterns and infinite meandering pathways visualise and articulate Quinlivan’s reflections on the rhythms of life and nature, past and present.
