‘Horizon Festival’ is a celebration of creativity on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Events will be hosted at Caloundra, Coolum, Maroochydore, Nambour, Eumundi and Maleny from 25 August to 3 September featuring a program of exhibitions, film, literature, performance, street art, outdoor installations, workshops and more. Highlights include, the Architects of Air’s Arboria luminarium presented by University of the Sunshine Coast, in association with Insite Arts – a display of light, colour and sound through a maze of winding paths and soaring domes inspired by Islamic and Gothic architecture. The Sunshine Coast Art Prize finalists are showing at Caloundra Regional Gallery 17 August to 8 October, and public artworks can be explored via three mapped-out art trails.
