This exhibition aligns the work of designer and visual artist Lisa Gorman and painter Mirka Mora (1928–2018), celebrating their shared love of colour, illusion, otherworldliness, and experimental modes of production. Lisa Gorman + Mirka Mora features select garments from their 2016 and 2018 collaborations, together with rarely exhibited embroideries, hypofictional doll-like creatures and soft sculptures, and seldom-before-seen paintings from the Estate of Mirka Mora, alongside the unveiling of a large-scale, site-specific, sculptural installation by Gorman, drawing inspiration from the two fundamental components of weaving, the warp and weft.
