Melanie McCollin-Walker exhibits a collection of paintings inspired by a recent trip down the Savage and Pieman Rivers in Tasmania, which are imbued with the artist’s experience of a spontaneous journey of self-reflection. She says, ‘It’s hard to completely quantify the instant connection I had with this unique landscape. But in some ways, I felt as though the river’s journey mirrored my own. I was inspired by its strength and resilience, unwavering in the face of obstacles, forever flowing forward.’
