Exclusive to Melbourne this winter, ‘Napoleon: Revolution to Empire’ will bring the legend to life, majestically telling the story of Napoleon Bonaparte, a man who emerged from the chaos of the French Revolution to become one of the world’s most powerful and visionary rulers.
This exhibition features nearly 300 works, examining French art, culture and life from the 1770s to the 1820s, bringing to Australia hundreds of objects of breathtaking opulence and luxury – from paintings and drawings, to furniture, militaria, fashion and jewellery.
