Nell: Face Everything

In this site-responsive exhibition, Sydney-based artist Nell draws on the domestic history of the gallery and its surrounding gardens, populating the space with an extended family of characters and spirits from across her thirty-year career.

Featuring over eighty-five works, including more than fifty new works, the ‘house’ is reimagined as both home and nest – a place of memory, shelter and shared experience. Found household objects are incorporated alongside natural motifs from the environs, with mosaics, sculptures, tapestries and intimate works exploring ‘Who is home?’ and ‘What is in the nest?’
