Nicci Bedson and Alison Mackay explore and celebrate the essence of home and surrounding material landscapes in Comfort Zone, a collection of paintings that delve into themes of belonging, heritage, and place.
Celebrating the unique character of two different regions and spaces, Bedson’s intricate paintings depict the facades of South Coast houses, with nostalgic and familiar elements capturing the essence of Australian suburban life, while Mackay’s distinctive works on domestic packaging unfold the eclectic interiors of artists’ houses in Far North Queensland, referencing concepts of recycling and consumer culture.
