This exhibition features works inspired by travels far and wide, often way off the beaten track. Whether coast or inland, nature’s power provides endlessly compelling visual moments to which Liz Cuming pays homage through acrylic paintings on linen. She views each work as a new challenge, endeavouring to capture the experience of place.
Numerous trips to paint remote country, visiting Indigenous communities’ arts centres, and many private off-road adventures are a wealth of reference material upon which Cuming draws inspiration, as does her other love and subject, the coast.
