Curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Asad Raza, and Kamilaroi artist Warraba Weatherall, this exhibition presents the fourth in a series of exhibitions conceived by Obrist and Raza that focus on the life and work of writer, poet, and philosopher Édouard Glissant (1928–2011), whose ideas and concerns for the preservation of cultural identity and creolisation continue to inspire and influence artists working around the world today. Australian First Nations and diasporic artists, with international creators, explore the past, present and future in the Australian context.
